What brought you to Vinelife for the first time?

Jimmy Lakey and Jason Phillips, They are incredible guys.

Why did you stay?

The warm sense of family that was conveyed to me by everyone involved in Vinelife Community Church

What was your first step in getting involved at Vinelife?

Hangin out on Jimmy Lakey’s porch, listening to incredible stories, and getting to know eachother.

Where have you plugged in at Vinelife?

The High School Group, SIM

One of your proudest moments?

Getting the opportunity to preach to my whole high school campus when I was a senior.

What inspires you?

Looking at the beauty in nature, life, love and relationships.

Who inspires you?

Anyone in desperate pursuit of God, especially those whom have gain lots of life experience.

What makes you laugh?

Conan O Brian

What’s a current indulgence for you?

Chipotle, I am so guilty.

What are you passionate about now, that you used to not care about?

Four-Wheeling

What’s your day job?

High School Youth Ministries Director for Vinelife Community Church

What’s something new that you’re learning in your job that has surprised you?

How Creative on the spot I can be.

Your idea of a perfect day?

Sleeping in, walking around downtown Denver, Dinner at the Melting Pot, Rockin a Rock and Roll Show at the Fillmore, Then, midnight four wheeling in the mountains, and end relaxing in a Hot Tub.

Your childhood ambition?

Safety for the Green Bay Packers, And Pastor to a Church.

Your first job?

A Waiter at Cracker Barrel.

What is your greatest memory?

God Meeting Me For the first time

What is your favorite movie?

Three way tie. Moulon Rouge, Shawshank Redemption, and any movie with Frank Sinatra

What do you look for in a close friend?

Loyalty, Sense of Humor, and Humility

What’s something new that you’ve learned about the Bible lately, that has surprised you?

How many times God has saved the people who have loved Him.

What do you think makes a good leader, someone that you’ll follow?

Wisdom, Great stories, sense of humor, and humility

Your favorite snack?

Pretzels and mountain dew

If you could have lunch with a famous person, who would it be and why?

Tie, Mel Gibson, or Tony Bennet, Two Huge stud muffins.

What’s one goal you have for the next year?

One goal that i have for this next year is to devote more time to friends and family. I really like them.

What is your definition of a retreat?

My definition of a retreat is getting away from all the distractions of life, in an environment where you can grow yourself and free yourself from all the small things in life that seem so huge, but really should not matter as much as they seem.

What has God been showing you lately that has surprised you?

God has being revealing to me the true potential He creates all of us to have.

Your fondest memory?(this is not the same as your proudest moment :-)

My fondest memory would have to be the Christmas season in Wisconsin, and all the new and old traditions that go along with that. Snow, blizzards, frozen lakes for skating, Venison sausage, venison stew, venison tenderloin, venison kabobs, venison jerky, and cheese. Everything great about the holidays in Wisconsin.

What’s your biggest challenge?

Driving to the gym and working out, and then not getting taco bell. I think its funny that we actually pay to torture ourselves at these gyms.

If you were given an extra hour in a day to do whatever you want, what would you do?

I would nap for a half hour and then call long lost friends that i have not heard from for the other half hour.

What is something that most people don’t know about you?

I belly danced once. (Thanks Janet DesGeorges)

Who is your greatest inspiration?

Captain Jack Sparrow. Enough said.

What have you read recently that really inspired or excited you?

I would have to say the thing that has rocked my world lately would be to be the book of Acts. These early Christians did so many extravagant things! Its pretty awesome when dead people all of a sudden aren’t.

If you could vacation anywhere…where would you go?

Lake Como, Italy. “When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, thats amore!”

Your most recent purchase?

A salad from whole foods. Yummy Organic goodness.

What’s God doing in your life that you are celebrating right now?

I find myself in a spot of new inspiration for Sim. That makes me very happy to see the stories coming from these students of change coming from their high schools! The line that I keep hearing that I adore is “That stuff you talked about on Wednesday night actually works!”
