Get to know Bryan:

What brought you to Vinelife for the first time?

I came before an Africa training meeting that we had at the church.

Why did you stay?

Jason would usually take us out to lunch afterwards

What was your first step in getting involved at Vinelife?

My first step was attending regularly. Meeting some of the staff members while on a mission trip helped as well.

Where have you plugged in at Vinelife?

Outside of my job here, I have been involved with the college group and the middle school group in the past. I also work with missions, specifically Rwanda.

What has been of your proudest moments?

I think graduating college was one of my proudest moments or running at a state cross country meet.

What inspires you?

I am inspired by people who live out their passions.

What makes you laugh?

My roommates make me laugh till it hurts. I like sarcasm if it is done right. Jeff Dunham makes me laugh as well.

What’s a current indulgence for you?

Books. I really like to read and buy books.

What is one goal you have for the next year?

To continue learning and grow closer to God.

What are you passionate about now, that you used to not care about?

A life of continual learning and a life lived for God and other people.

What’s your day job?

Doing whatever needs to be done? I have too many roles to count.

What’s something new that you’re learning in your job that has surprised you?

I am learning that I really like my MacBook Laptop. It treats me well.

Your idea of a perfect day?

I would wake up and eat a big breakfast, complete with skillets, orange juice, yogurt, fresh fruit, granola. I would then hang out with all my really good friends and spend some time with God and read a good book. I don’t think I could fit everything into a perfect day.

What’s currently in your CD player?

Jimmy Eat World. Various country artists and classical music.

Your childhood ambition?

To own my own business.

Your first job?

My first job besides lawn mowing was a soccer referee.

What is your greatest memory?

I have many memories competing for one another. Graduating College or running in a state cross-country meet.

What is your favorite movie?

Good Will Hunting

A Prime Rib and Provolone Sandwich at Snarf’s

I am learning about God’s creative side and creation as a whole in my Bible study and it has been incredible.

What do you think makes a good leader, someone that you’ll follow?

I look for someone who is genuine, realistic and someone I respect.

Your favorite snack?

Goldfish for sure.

If you could have lunch with a famous person, who would it be and why?

I want to go to lunch with either Paul, Abraham Lincoln, Booker T. Washington or Warren Buffet. I would go with Paul to learn more about his life and to follow Christ. I would eat with Abraham to see inside the mind of a great leader. Booker T. Washington lived one of the most selfless lives I have ever seen and Warren Buffet is a wealth of information on money.

What is your definition of a retreat?

My definition of a retreat is to get off by myself or a few close friends, a few books, my Bible and journal for a few days.

What has God been showing you lately that has surprised you?

He has been showing me what truly waiting on him looks like and how to be joyful and patient through the waiting times.

Figuring life out???

If you were given an extra hour in a day to do whatever you want, what would you do?

I would either hang out with friends, sleep or spend it with God.

What is something that most people don’t know about you?

I don’t watch sports.

My core group leader Jim is my greatest inspiration. He is someone who truly embodies a Christ-like life and he spends time each week sharing what that journey has looked like.
