What brought you to Vinelife for the first time?

I had a message in a dream to go to what was then the Vineyard – woke my wife up and said we were going. We were too late – had to go the next week.

Why did you stay?

I love the message, the worship and the setting!

What was your first step in getting involved at Vinelife?

I just attended and offered to serve where I saw a need.

Where have you plugged in at Vinelife?

I really began serving on an Sr. Pastors advisory committee and ended up serving on the Board of Directors

One of your proudest moments?

When my kids say they love me!

What inspires you?

Challenge and achievement

Who inspires you?

People who overcome challenges and/or help others to the same thing

What makes you laugh?

Human nature

What’s a current indulgence for you?

Looking for a person to help me with my yard work

What is one goal you have for the next year?

Two people to help me with my yard work!

What are you passionate about now, that you used to not care about?

Africa and its hope for a prosperous and Godly future.

Executive Pastor

What’s something new that you’re learning in your job that has surprised you?

How much people truly care and how that caring can get easily derailed.

Your idea of a perfect day?

A leisurely breakfast with my wife in a relaxed resort setting, shopping thru the morning together – a quiet lunch – an afternoon touring art galleries – a gourmet dinner in a great setting

Professional soldier

Mowing lawns in my neighborhood

What is your greatest memory?

Courting my wife.

Wow! Unfair! How about “Waking Ned Devine”. – Star Wars – Indiana Jones series

Your last purchase?

“The Four Witnesses” a Comparative Analysis of the Four Gospels (and no I did not get it from the bookstore because it was a gift exchanged at Barnes & Noble)

What do you look for in a close friend?

Loyalty, candor and acceptance

What’s something new that you’ve learned about the Bible lately, that has surprised you?

More and more I see the revelation of the infinitely complex architecture of God’s Plan for us.

What do you think makes a good leader, someone that you’ll follow?

Vision and perspective.

Your favorite snack?

All the stuff that is not good for anyone!

If you could have lunch with a famous person, who would it be and why?

Alive – Colin Powell because I really admire the combination of his experience and his integrity.

Dead – Thomas Jefferson – because he was such a great “outside the box” thinker.
